Van Houtte French Vanilla: My take on the K-cup
As there are many fish in the sea, so are there a variety of coffee flavors that line the grocery store aisles. We can be overwhelmed by the choices that are laid out before our eyes: regular, decaf, caramel vanilla, hazelnut, etc. How can we accurately pick the one that is right for us when there are so many options?
The best, and tastiest, way of find the perfect brand for you is try the different kinds of coffee out there. Since I am now a Keurig junkie, I have tried my fair share of coffee flavors k-cups. From regular breakfast blend to the craziest concoction of sweet delicacies, I drank a lot of coffee before..
I found my one true love: Van Houtte French Vanilla K-cups
Trial and Error
After converting to the Keurig (Keurig K55 – My experience with these Keurig coffee maker), I was set on finding my perfect match in the world of k-cups. I had tried out the usual types of coffee such as medium roast, original and breakfast blend without any success. I then decided to try out the different name brand coffees to see if I could find “the one.” After many coffee tasting trials, I still hadn’t found anything that really quenched my caffeine thirst in the morning (or afternoon).
I realized that I had to think outside of the box and try something that had a little flavor to it, outside of the normal coffee taste. After much thought (and tiresome looking), I decided to give a French vanilla flavored k-cup a chance. I was a long-time lover of the French Vanilla cappuccino, so I figured a French vanilla flavored coffee wouldn’t disappoint me.
I started out trying the brands, Market District and Green Mountain, as they both carried the French Vanilla flavored coffee. I knew I was on to something because I immensely enjoyed the flavor of the French Vanilla in comparison to the normal coffee flavored k-cups. However, I wasn’t completely won over by either of them. One was too enriched in the vanilla flavor to taste the coffee and the other was a bit dark roasted for my liking.
How I finally found “The One” in k-cup coffee
As I was shopping one day, I came across a brand name called, Van Houtte. Intrigued by this uniquely named brand of French Vanilla coffee, I decided to buy it and give it a try. After all, what did I have to lose? I still hadn’t found the “one” in my coffee expedition.
After my first sip, I knew that my search was finally over. The Van Houtte French Vanilla has the perfect coffee to vanilla blend ratio. It simultaneously delivers the soft sweet drop of vanilla and the light roast taste of the coffee bean to your taste buds. You are not overwhelmed by a bold flavor of coffee, or the too sweet taste of French vanilla; the Van Houtte French Vanilla gives you the ideal balance of both. I also mix in some 1% milk to give my drink a slight creamy flavor that blends in beautifully with the French Vanilla.
With the mastery of the Keurig brewing my favorite k-cup, the Van Houtte French Vanilla distributes a heavenly flavored punch of caffeine that won’t leave you disappointed and ready to tackle the day.
Pricing
The pricing for Van Houtte French Vanilla coffee is always better in bulk. I have found deals for 108 k-cups, or six boxes, for around $60.00 on sites like Wayfair or on the official Keurig website. You are better off to join the promotional club on the Keurig website called, “Club Keurig.” They offer exclusive promotions, as well as points that can be received and redeemed through purchases on their website.
You may also be fortunate enough to find Van Houtte at your local retail stores. I have been lucky in that way, as I have been able to purchase my favorite k-cup at a highly discounted rate through the promotions at my local stores. A Google search should be able to give you an idea of what stores carry them and what their comparative costs are. I always look for good deals on my favorite French Vanilla brand long before I run out of them too. Lately buy on Amazon because they have the good prices. As a long time coffee drinker, I know that I do not want to be stuck drinking something that doesn’t hold a light to my Van Houtte in the morning.
